Stuck for lunch

We had lunch in this picnic area, overlooking the canyon today (great,
toasted cheese sandwiches from the Rosey Cafe pictured here), which
was all well and good, but then we tried to leave... and got stuck in
the snow!! Luckily we managed to dig Rosey out and we broke free.

  1. We've just got back from Bear Valley where, luckily, we did not have to dig out anything (though we did have to dispose of two dead mice from the log pile in our cabin, which caused a momentary small girl tremor... Log pile...fires...cabin...beds...hot showers...no, just being wicked). We spent four hours driving home and, while the kids did fine, the adults were very much in "are we there yet? mode. So we are even more impressed with your mini-RV adventuring than we were before!

  2. Hi Paul Kay Sam Theo and Mae, delighted to see you are also enjoying the joys of camper vanning!!! We have had 18 months of fun and frolics in our 'Retro' ford transit autosleeper! We have just returned from a freezing camping trip at the head of the langdale valley. Will enjoy following your travels as kindred spirits!

Lots of love and happy traveling new year to you all, cousin Liz, Matt and Pete xxx
