Christening Rosie, or, "if the van is rockin', don't come knockin'..."

We've christened Rosie!! AND survived to tell the tale!!! YEAH!!!
Twice in fact:

First: Camping at Half Moon Bay - beautiful, end of summer beach-
side camping. At least we've proven to ourselves that we can
actually fit and sleep in the bus.

Second: Camping with friends at Memorial Park - stunning camping
amongst the Redwoods. We let the boys go to sleep up-top this time
(see pic). Then decided they might fall out, so nearly broke my back
bringing them down to the lower bunk to sleep safely.

Started identifying jobs already - Todo 1: I have to fit a barrier
or something to stop them falling off! Also found it was a a smidgen
too tight for all three kids in one bunk. Todo 2: Need to get the
hammock across the front seats for Mae.

OK, so with three kids in the van there wasn't much "rockin'", but I
like the phrase. Anthony, who regaled us with it, also has stories
about traveling around Europe in an old 70's bus: Inspiring
stuff... So we've now booked some key sites in Death Valley for our
winter trip (itinerary to follow) and we're all super excited about
it. Incidentally, speaking of 'rocking', I did take the time to fit
a half-decent Sony head unit with iPod connection. Nice tunes in da'
bus...

The good: Rosie is great at standing still: A super camping
experience.

The bad: Rosie doesn't go very well: She stalled quite a bit on the
way home on both trips... really needs to go to Fred's Garage...
soon.
